What is VDMA?

The VDMA symbol stands for the Latin motto Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum "The Word of the Lord Endures Forever." It is based on Isaiah 40:6-8 and 1 Peter 1:24-25 and was the motto and symbol of the Reformation. By 1531, VDMA was inscribed on uniforms, flags, swords, cannons, and armor as a symbol of faith.
